By Roger Gray

Hard to believe may be, but true. Go to wherever you like by taking a flight now. Think of New York, London, Rome, Athens, and other great cities while receiving your free plane tickets.

Some people do have the privilege of making this dream a reality. In what way? There are companies that constantly need to transport packages or documents to other countries, and require the services of a carrier. The work of a courier can actually be dull and boring sans the excitement usually associated with deliveries of confidential or top-secret information, which just suit a budget traveler. Being a courier requires no special talent and skill, so is available to anybody willing to travel anywhere in the world on free or discounted plane fares.

The traveler is compensated with greatly discounted or free air tickets while doing the completely legal act of carrying documents or packages. Courier companies are always on lookout for traveler who are willing to carry light items for a fee. The traveler and the company benefits while doing routine business; the former in the form of free or discounted travel and the latter in reduced expenses. Acting as a business courier will save a traveler up to 85% of the normal ticket price, according to the Air Courier Association survey. The best discount offer of an agent will not even approximate that much savings.

As courier, you have certain responsibilities to the company. The job is relatively easy - be on time and deliver to the intended party at the destination airport. The courier's job is done upon arriving and passing through the customs area.

Are there disadvantages in a deeply discounted travel? Travelers on deeply discounted airfares are usually allowed only one carry-on bag so the rule is to travel light. While it is not difficult get a flight in advance, it will help if the traveler has options of when to schedule his trip. You must have a valid passport and at least 18 years old as minors are not allowed to travel unaccompanied.
