Cruise Ships - A Small City On Water!

By Frank Woods

On a cruise, you experience what you only dream of at home. Major cruise ships are larger than some land-based communities - with 3,000 + passengers and half that number in cruise staff.

Besides problems and stress, you can find everything else on the ship. You leave your worries behind. The engineering of cruise ships today is amazing. The anti-roll technology and computerized monitoring means that you hardly notice the movement when underway.

The cruise ship is organized much like a city. So that makes cabins like little communities while the larger suites are like a high class condo unit. Newspapers are even delivered to rooms everyday.

When you awake, the biggest decision you have to make is what to do today from among the overwhelming list of shipboard activities. The food onboard is simply divine.

The cruise ship has a main dining room and a number of restaurants for you to pick. Eat at restaurants of your preference. You can eat right on the deck when you want, too.

What's so amazing is that you have so many choices for breakfast, lunch, snack, afternoon tea, dinner and late night snacks, which are all part of the total cruise price. You won't need to ask for the price of a dish you want at all.

Gourmets greatly enjoy going on cruises because of the excellent food. A cruise is perfect for you if you dislike commuting. Everything is within walking distance. The ship also has an exercise center to keep you fit.

The view you get is like no other when you work out. You can unwind at the spa after your work out. And if you still can't find anything to do, go check the daily activities list.

You can play cards, surf the net, play video games or listen to a lecture in the designated places. There are many sport activities on the cruise ship. You can find a pick up game for volleyball, try your aim with skeet shooting or participate in some rock wall climbing. You can go back to your room to rest when you get tired.

Go on a theme cruise and get to know people onboard who are interested in the same things as you are. For example, for music lovers, there are themes like rock and roll, country, classical and many more.

Connoisseurs can also find cruises themed on their favorites. Cruise themes include different hobbies. Cruise themes also include religion. When the group is larger enough, the entire ship is chartered for special interest groups.

Everything you'll need is onboard. It's a place that makes sure you have the time of your life while you're there.
