The Biggest Airports In The World Make Traveling Fun

By Byron Jonas

The biggest airports in the world offer more to travelers than the opportunity to fly to various parts of the world in a jet airplane. Many travelers are only concerned about the amenities that are found on the airplane but when one finds himself having to wait for his flight because of delays due to bad weather or other types of delays, one will want to do more than sit around the terminal bored. Here are some features available at the busiest terminals that can make that delayed flight time easier to bear.

The busiest terminal in Asia is the Beijing airline terminal, renovated in 2008. Thousands of people travel through this terminal each day but is still the most accommodating terminal for business travelers. The terminal boasts what is named the global kitchen.

The global kitchen located in the center of the Beijing flight terminal is an area that houses more than 70 international restaurants. The terminal has a high speed tram that will take travelers to their departure gate from anywhere in the terminal. The Munich terminal in Germany is also one of the largest terminals on the globe.

The Munich Terminal served more than thirty million travelers in 2010 and is the home to Lufthansa airlines. The terminal could be mistaken for a huge shopping center with its open air arcade that sports several international restaurants. No one likes to have his flight delayed, but no traveler, delayed at the Munich Terminal will be bored.

The international airline terminal in South Korea is a chic terminal that has indoor gardens, a skating rink, and even golf course for those who want to play a few holes before their flight. There is a museum of the local culture for those who might have missed the opportunity to discover Korean culture during their stay. Many people arrive up to twelve hours before their flight leaves just to enjoy the amenities this international terminal offers.

Many frequent travelers believe the Singapore International Terminal to be the most luxurious international terminal in the globe. The traveler feels more like a guest than a customer at this terminal. There are many entertainment venues, spas, and fine restaurants to enjoy.

The biggest airports in the world all have a single aspect in common. These flight terminals make travel fun. Frequent travelers are finding out that there is more to travel than choosing where to sit on the airplane.
