Although flying in a plane is relatively secure, there are still certain perils

In the state of Californiaaccident attorneys Riverside, CA must cope with many cases, there is, however, none more cataclysmic than when coping with an airline crash. In essence, airline travel is still around 5 times more safe than when travelling by car and thousands of aircraft take off and land safely every single day, however when accidents do occur, they're normally headline news.

Not all incidents result in destruction and there are plenty of incidents of talent and bravado as pilots battled to bring their aircraft down safely in spite of having a dreadful malfunction. An example of this is just latterly, in Nov of 2011 when a Polish Lot Airlines Boeing 767 carrying 231 passengers made an emergency landing at Okecie airport in Warsaw with no landing gear, everybody survived.

Another example of pilot genius was back in 2009 when an US Airlines Airbus A320 carrying 150 passengers and five crew had to make an emergency landing in the Hudson River after losing all its engines to bird strikes, again everybody survived. However when accidents do occur, they can be major and indeed fatal, and for the families of victims involved, this is financially and emotionally devastating

A Riverside accident attorney explains that airplane crashes can be imputed to several things including mechanical failure, bird strikes, pilot error, stormy weather, air traffic control boo boo, aircraft design issues, on board fires and simply running out of fuel. All of these things can make contributions to an aeroplane crash and when considering a legal action case, there are a few instances where gross neglectfulness could be cited.

Statistics indicate that according to the Nation's Transport Safety Board (NTSB) in 2005 there were 1680 aircraft related accidents of which 321 were lethal resulting in 563 deaths. Experts say that aircraft accidents are rising steadily by around two percent each year. On top of this figure, there were 238 light aircraft situations during the past five years in the States alone of which 29 folks have died. The main cause of these varieties of accidents is pilot inaccuracy.
