Disneyland Family Reunions - An Exciting Way To Get Together

By Zachary Justice

Show me a person who doesn't love family reunions and/or Disneyland and I'll show you a white crow. You can bring the two together by having your family reunion at the happiest place on earth. And it's very easy to set this up!

You will want to first call the Disneyland Vacation Planning Services Department. Let them help you book rooms at the Resort hotels, and admission tickets to the park. Purchasing in bulk is always a good way to ensure more savings when you purchase your tickets.

Setting up the reunion isn't complete without booking the versatile service called the Happiest Place on Earth Picnic. This is a year-round service that basically allows admission to all your family members involved. You also get a choice of fully catered meals for the event. For 100 - 300 people, your event can be held at Big Thunder Ranch. For 300 - 1000 people, the event will be held at the Festival Arena.

If there are less than 100 people in your party, you may not be eligible for the catering services. This is at the sole discretion of Disneyland, and you will need to discuss this with Guest Services or the Planning Services Departments. If catering is not available, reservations in the many restaurants can be made instead.

It is also a highly advisable idea to book a whole block of rooms in the off-season and allot a generous amount of time for booking in advance so you can get a healthy discount on each family member's rooms. You can get more affordable airline tickets by booking in bulk and well in advance - the same principle would apply should you have family flying in.

Planning services should be your best friend at this point - they certainly will be, and your travel agent can help you with anything not covered by the skilled team at Disneyland Vacation Planning Services. Just like a good sports team needs a good quarterback, point guard or what have you, you'll need to choose a person to fill a similar role for your travel plans, dealing with the travel agent and planning service and disseminating the information accordingly. If you have more than one person handling these tasks, you'll only end up with a game of Chinese whispers and a potentially great family reunion ruined.

The process may be a bit overwhelming, but the rewards are nonpareil - an unforgettable family reunion for everybody. Talk with the Vacation Planning Services Department to find out what other services are available to make this an even more special experience for you and your family members. These would be the Surprise services - if we told you what they are, it wouldn't be a Surprise anymore, right?
